School Support Organizations
School Support Organizations (SSOs) are organizations that collect or receive money, materials, or property from students, parents, or members of the general public and whose primary purpose is to support a school district, school, school club, or academic, arts, athletic, or social activities related to a school.
Only a group or organization that has entered into a written cooperative agreement with the LSS Board may use the name, mascot or logo of a school or the school district to solicit or raise money, materials, property, securities, services, or other things of value. If you are aware of other organizations using the names of Lakeland Elementary School, Lakeland Preparatory School, or Lakeland School System to solicit funds or materials, please contact the Office of the Superintendent at (901) 867-5412.
